As soon as I sat in my chair, SocksnSandals burst into my office to exchange Monday morning pleasantries.

“Good Morning.”

With a big wry smile on his face, he continued, “Hope your weekend was better than mine. I had a really tough Sunday. Mom was in a bitchy mood. Must have been that time of the month.”

My response was dumbfounded silence.

My internal mental response however was, “Really? Really dude? That’s disturbing on so many levels. First off your mom, God bless her heart, is 92 yrs old. Second, that’s your mother. Third, WHY? Fourth, WHY ME?”
